The inviting aroma of rich, flavorful broth greets you as soon as you step inside, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.
The charm of Sharyn's Cansi House lies not only in its exceptional food but also in its casual atmosphere. The dining setup is reminiscent of a traditional karenderya, which adds to the authenticity. While the space may need improvements in lighting and ventilation, the focus here is clearly on the culinary experience. The servers are friendly and attentive, ensuring that your visit is comfortable and enjoyable even in a non-airconditioned environment.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: Cansi. Each sizable serving is a feast that can easily satisfy 2-4 people, making it a perfect dish for sharing. The soup, noted for its rich, creamy texture and well-balanced sourness, is a comforting delight that warms the soul. Reviewers rave about the tenderness of the meat, which seamlessly falls apart with the slightest touch, creating an unforgettable mouthfeel. Many patrons have emphasized that the broth is packed with flavors that tantalize the taste buds, making every sip a delightful journey.
Several guests have also highlighted the generous serving of extra soup, often referred to as a "must" – an offering that truly enhances the experience. Pair your Cansi with a dash of chili if you enjoy adding a bit of heat; the combination heightens the flavors even further. And don’t miss out on their unique Cansi Sisig, a creative twist that has left diners raving about its distinct taste.
Though some may find the prices slightly higher than expected, the value lies in the quality of the food and the satisfaction it brings. “ One serving of cansi is good enough for 3 people. They serve it with an extra cup of soup. You don’t leave Bacolod without having cansi. The soup is perfect, very comforting and not too oily. ”
“ Cansi was delicious. One bowl can serve 4 people (but still depends on your eating preference), and they serve extra soup in a cup (I think it’s 1 cup per person). Meat was soft and tender. Soup is on the creamy side. Cansi is ₱500. A bit expensive but still worth it. ”
“ I have no comparison but I’m gonna say that the broth is really delicious, its packed with flavors, and the meat is tender. I came here early in the morning so it was not crowded, the space was clean and the servers were attentive. I can see why Cansi is very popular. ”
“ Went to this place for its popularity. This is my first time eating Cansi. Aside from their menu, there’s also cooked food available to order by the counter. The Dining set up is like your regular karenderya, open, so expect “flies”. Honestly, nasasanay na ako sa langaw at kasama na talaga sila when you eat outside. Kind of annoying but tiisin mo na lang. Ok, the Cansi wasssss soooo goood!!! I can almost change my Bulalo to this as my No. 1 it’s beating me. Mapapaisip ka talaga, basta Masarap talaga. We tried their pickled Labanos, this is so goood too, it kinda cleanse your palette after eating greasy food. And then their Kinilaw was awesome as well. Now I am giving 4 star because, when we’re about to pay, the Auntie is had a problem with our bill, she had to do it more than 3 times. She listed it or someone did when we ordered the food and then asked us again when we’re ready to pay, made a mistake and listed it again and coming up with the incorrect list and doing it again. Hay Anu po ba, Maluge kayo nyan. I wanted to help her to get the accuracy, but saw on the side that the other ladies were just looking with no intention of helping their poor auntie. Ay kawawa, please don’t let Auntie do the Math and payment. Sorry. But overall, Masarap, loved it. ”
“ It's a non-airconditioned place, but we were able to dine there wearing our air tech suits. One cansi serving is huge for 2 adults. The broth is really rich in flavor. No wonder it's the most popular Cansi House in Bacolod. You can also try their Crispy Cansi. ”
